Tech Evangelist

USA

We're on a mission to build the best platform in the world for DevOps engineers to automate and simplify the governance of cloud deployments for Terraform, Terragrunt and IaC frameworks. We are a rapidly growing and well-funded startup based both in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Tel Aviv. We believe software development is a team effort, and are looking for people who strive for excellence, and enjoy the journey getting there. Our engineering culture values pragmatism, honesty, and simplicity to solve hard problems the right way.

We’re looking for a talented, self-directed Technical Evangelist to help put together a team and communicate the technical capabilities of the env0 platform through external presentation materials and visuals. The ideal candidate comes from a software and/or infrastructure background, but has an unmet need to tell stories. The Technical Evangelist will partner with technical leaders in engineering, DevOps, and technical executives to create presentations and content material that will advance the thought leadership position of env0 worldwide.

The opportunity:

In this role you will be both hands-on, as you create new presentations, workshops/meetups, written and visual content and foster relationships with the DevOps and Developer communities and build and manage a team of “Developer Relations” who will report directly to you.

You will:

Create developer-facing documentation and materials to foster the growth of our DevOps community. Create opportunities to speak at conferences and meetups to build env0 reputation as a thought leader around the DevOps and Developers community.

Requirements:

  • Application development experience, and knowledge with Infrastructure as Code frameworks
  • Build and execute evangelism programs that successfully deliver content, brand awareness, and community building
  • 7+ years total experience in a technical field with 5+ years of technical evangelism, developer relations, or community building experience within a technical space
  • Publicly available writing samples or recordings of presentations on technical topics
  • Experience writing technical articles or blog posts
  • You enjoy self driven exploration and education on new technologies and languages
  • You are able to transform dry technical topics into engaging, informative and interesting educational materials
  • A natural affinity to forge relationships with developers/DevOps and integrate & engage with DevOps communities
